I began this journey as an egg donor. I experienced it firsthand: helping families achieve their dream, traveling, and discovering new opportunities. Beyond being transformative, the experience empowered me — it gave me the freedom to rethink my life, leave a job that didn’t fulfill me, and dare to pursue a different future. It was so enriching that I shared it with my friends and encouraged them to live it too.
Later, I accompanied friends from the LGTBI community who had their children through surrogacy. That’s when I saw the other side of the process: exorbitant costs, donor and surrogate profiles without real verification or care, slow communication, and little transparency. It was then that I truly understood the importance of the role of donors, surrogates, and agencies — and how necessary it was to do things differently.
